In an era of reboots, Cindel (rhymes with spindle) is 1980's post-punk re-envisioned and updated for the 21st century. If Cindel were a movie, they would be Blade Runner directed by Brian Wilson on a seventies horror movie budget.
Cindel released their debut single “Love in the Shadows” on Halloween 2016. Second single, a cover of Leonard Cohen's "The Guests" was released November 6, 2017, followed by single #3, "Best of the MC5" on May 22, 2021. Single #4, "East Germany" was released on November 22, 2021. A full length album is now in the works.

“Love in the Shadows”, the debut song from a new Boston band called Cindel, pulls from that same inspiration, connecting the forever undead sounds of Siouxsie and the Banshees, Echo and the Bunnymen, and even some Christian Death (without the racism) with modern flairs of glam and Britpop. Cindel’s musical DNA can be easily found in its members, who frequent stages around town in bands like the Daily Pravda and Lifestyle.
